About the Project: Portland cement clinker production has a significant impact on CO2 emission from industrial manufacturing. Combined with the 4% emitted from fuel combustion during processing, the actual total CO2 emission is 8% . Sustainable Development goals of EU and UN lead the cement and concrete manufacturers reduce the CO2 emission and also use secondary recycled materials in the production. This project focusses on using end-pof-life materials and construction debris in concrete production. We aim to reduce the CO2 production as well as the raw material use for a more sustainable future. We will evaluate the performance of cement-based materials containing recycled end-of-life materials in terms of setting, workability, rheology, and compressive strength.
